On Thursday 3rd May the Roses Torch will be coming to Heslington East and we need someone to represent Goodricke and carry it for this leg of its overall journey in the York-Lancaster Roses 2012.
We’re giving you the chance to nominate a member of Goodricke who you think really deserves to represent the college by telling us in no more than 100 words why they’re perfect for the task.
You can nominate them by sending an email to chair@goodricke.co.uk, including their name, your name and up to 100 words telling us why they should be our college Torchbearer.
Nominations are open until midnight Tuesday 17th April, we look forward to hearing from you!

We would like to formally apologise to everyone on the Goodricke mailing list who has received a communication which we would like to stress has NOT been authorised or issued by the JCRC. We are at present investigating how unauthorised access to our account has been gained, but unfortunately this leaves us at present unable to issue any further emails to clarify the situation.
We are taking this breach extremely seriously and have escalated the issue as such. Once again we would like to apologise for the communication and to reassure all recipients that its content is in no way affiliated with your JCRC – who aim to use this mailing list solely as a way of enhancing your college experience by increasing awareness of the events and services we offer.
Please do not feel pressurised into voting for any particular YUSU candidate as a result of this communication.
Opportunities to join the JCRC
In case you missed out in the elections or by-elections there are still 3 vacant positions left on the Junior Common Room Committee, they are two Dixon Court Reps and one LGBT Officer. To run for either position you must be an undergraduate member of the college, and for the Dixon Court Rep positions you must be resident in Kenneth Dixon Court, while anyone wanting to run for the LGBT Officer position must not self-define as both heterosexual and cisgendered, i.e. should identify as LGBT.

Anyone who shows an interest will be invited to the JCRC meeting on Thursday 23rd February for potential co-option onto the committee :) Good luck and don’t hesitate to e-mail me any questions!
